Price groups
This article is for certification brands.
Price group is a set of parameters helping Workshop Butler understand what fee to charge for a licensed event.
Activating price groups
To activate the Price Groups module, open Account Settings -> find Price Groups tab on the left -> click Activate.
Adding a new price group
Click the Add Group button to add a price group.
You will see a form below:

Name
Enter a name for a price group allowing you to easily understand what this group is for. This name will be visible on your account only.

Fee per
In accordance with your business model, choose the unit you will charge trainers for:
- per event
- per hour
- per attendee
The system will calculate the fee based on the unit you've chosen.
If you select Fee per hour, then two additional fields appear on the event form for trainers – Total hours and Hours per day. The number of total hours is used to calculate a final fee for the event. This number can also be displayed on certificates.
If you select Fee per attendee, remember that only attendees who marked as Participated are counted.

Currency and Fee Per Unit
Set the currency you are going to charge trainers in and fee per unit you've chosen above.
At the moment, only Euro and US Dollar are supported. If you need something else, please contact us.

Online/in-person
Choose the format this price group will be applied to
- Online
- In-person
- Both
- 5

Countries
Choose countries for this price group or checkmark the All Countries option to make this group work for all countries.

Event types
Choose event types this price group will work for.
Do not forget to save the changes.
Catch all
Catch All group is chosen by Workshop Butler when no other group suits an event. It's a safety net to make sure you charge every event no matter where it takes place. Alternatively, you can use the Catch All group if you have the same price for almost all countries except for a selected few.
When you choose the Catch All options, all other settings (online/in-person, country, and event types disappear from the menu).
Managing price groups
You can edit, copy, or delete price groups using the corresponding buttons to the left of each price group.
