What to do if attendees are not receiving WSB notifications about your events
This article is for training companies and trainers.
WSB sends several notifications to attendees after they register to an event and submit their email:
In addition, it's possible to compose an email from the event page to any attendee anytime.
Sometimes, it turns out that an attendee doesn't receive these notifications. What to do in this case?
Ask an attendee to check their Spam or Junk folder
The most possible reason why an attendee doesn't see a notification from WSB is that it has landed in Spam for some reason.
If the message is there indeed, do not forget to ask this attendee to mark the message as safe.
Check the SPF record for your domain
This recommendation only for those trainers and companies who uses custom domain to communicate with their attendees.
Workshop Butler uses SparkPost as its email provider. If your SPF record doesn't authorize SparkPost to send emails from your domain, there is a chance that WSB notifications will be rejected or marked as Spam by a receiver.
To add Sparkpost to autorized senders, add "include:sparkpostmail.com" to your SPF record. For example, like this:
mydomain.net TXT "v=spf1 include:sparkpostmail.com ~all"
The detailed instructions on how to edit an SPF recored are here.
